Joint Founders' Day Celebration

A National Foundation
The journey of The Links, Incorporated began on November 9, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Visionary founders Margaret Rosell Hawkins and Sarah Strickland Scott brought together a circle of nine extraordinary women, bound by a shared commitment to educational, civic, and intercultural activities. Today, that original circle has grown into an international powerhouse of service, with over 17,000 professional women of African descent dedicated to transforming communities.
The Dade County (FL) Chapter Charter
Building upon that national foundation, the Dade County (FL) Chapter was officially chartered on June 1, 1986. For nearly four decades, our chapter has been a cornerstone of the South Florida community, implementing impactful programs that address the most pressing needs of our youth and our heritage.
"We honor our past to empower our future. Every Founders’ Day is a renewal of our sacred vow to serve with grace and lead with purpose."
